What began as an investigation into possible Bigfoot activity quickly evolved into something much larger. Strange sounds. Unexplained experiences. Witness testimony. Environmental anomalies. Instead of pointing toward a single explanation, the evidence seemed to blur the boundaries between Bigfoot, paranormal activity, and what researchers often call the phenomenon.
Today, I’m excited to share the official trailer for The Presence at Leatherwood Lake, a new Bigfoot documentary that explores what happens when a CE6 protocol intersects with reports of high strangeness.
The documentary began as a straightforward investigation. I attended a CE6 event led by Ron Meyer and Alan Megargle, based on the protocols described in Ron Meyer’s book, The High Strangeness of Bigfoot. The event was designed to explore the relationship between consciousness, intentional contact, and the phenomenon often associated with Bigfoot encounters.
Like many people interested in paranormal research, I expected the investigation to focus primarily on Bigfoot.
Instead, it raised much larger questions.
Over the following months, I returned to Leatherwood Lake multiple times to document witness experiences and revisit locations connected to the original event. During those visits, I recorded unusual sounds, investigated reports of strange lights, documented environmental anomalies, and spoke with participants about experiences that challenged traditional paranormal categories.
What I found wasn’t simply evidence supporting one theory over another.
It was a pattern.
For decades, paranormal researchers have debated whether Bigfoot, UFOs, ghosts, and other forms of high strangeness should be studied separately or as part of a larger phenomenon. Researchers such as John Keel explored the idea that these experiences may be connected through what he called the Superspectrum, while Jacques Vallée proposed that encounters with the unexplained may reflect interactions with a broader intelligence that has appeared throughout human history under different names.
Rather than attempting to prove one theory, The Presence at Leatherwood Lake asks a different question.
What if we’ve been separating experiences that naturally belong together?
Reports of Bigfoot are often accompanied by strange lights, unexplained sounds, synchronicities, missing time, and other experiences that refuse to fit neatly into a single category. Instead of arguing whether one explanation is correct, this documentary examines the possibility that these events may represent different expressions of the same underlying phenomenon.
Throughout the investigation, the focus gradually shifted away from identifying a creature and toward understanding the nature of the encounter itself.
Was the CE6 protocol interacting with Bigfoot?
Was it interacting with a larger intelligence?
Or was it simply creating the conditions for witnesses to experience something that has always existed just beyond the limits of ordinary perception?
These are the questions that shaped this film.
Rather than offering definitive answers, The Presence at Leatherwood Lake invites viewers to follow the investigation as it unfolded, experiencing the evidence, interviews, field research, and unexpected moments that transformed a single event into a much broader exploration of the paranormal.
